God is good!

Psalm 58: "The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth." ... v.10, 11 ... God's righteous judgement.

When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. "Lord," he said, "my servant lies at home, paralyzed and in terrible suffering." Jesus said to him, "I will go and heal him." The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant shall be healed. For I myself am a man of authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith..." Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would."

The point of Psalm 58 is ... God's righteous judgement ... with that the righteous rejoice ... and that is the reward of the righteous.

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Prince of this world is judged what is left? Oh I know each of ours, Flesh. That flesh that will never please God, no matter how good it acts.
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

How can this more abundantly be? Spirit of God or flesh of self

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

I try to read one Proverb everyday ... this was also apart of my reading today.

A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. ... Proverbs 6:12-15

May the Lord bless His Word.

I knew of folk who read a chapter a day of Proverbs: 31, one for each day!

Blessings.

2 Chronicles 18:13 But Micaiah replied, "As surely as the LORD lives, I will say only what my God says."

PS: It's best simply to trust what God lovingly tells us in His Word, and leave it there, right? Blessings.

For God sent a gentle rain to fall upon a dry and thirsty land, renewing His promise when we were weary.

(From memory, so please forgive if I missed a word .)

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Galatians 5:17 For we naturally love to do evil things that are just the opposite from the things that the Holy Spirit tells us to do; and the good things we want to do when the Spirit has his way with us are just the opposite of our natural desires. These two forces within us are constantly fighting each other to win control over us, and our wishes are never free from their pressures.
