At least be honest. My first interaction with you was you jumping all over me in a very uncalled for way and completely out of the blue with you and your buddies calling me names. You exhibit the same behavior towards others all the time. I was pretty nasty with you after that encounter and several others, yes. Am I sorry for my reactions (which took a while to build up btw)? Yeah maybe some of them. Not all of them. You come across as a hateful individual in many of your posts with no sense of humility - only your queen of all attitude where no one else is allowed to disagree. Again, we all are guilty of this at times, but for a while there it was never ending with you. You attacked viciously anyone who disagreed with you. My response to your behavior had nada to do with you speaking in tongues or believing in sign gifts. So try not to misrepresent me when you are gonna attempt to call me out on something.

If I may say so, Txroads, one of the neatest things about your posts is that your southern drawl and mannerisms show through in all your writing (tipping of the hat, etc.) That's just plain cool.

I grew up in the North and unfortunately, there is nothing special about the way I talk--it's rather bland and generic. (I have a personal fascination with the different ways people speak--it's like music to me.)

My former pastor's wife was from Alabama, and due to years of ridicule while living in the North, had worked hard to try to erase most signs of her accent, which I thought was tragic.

There are days I've considered moving to the South, just to be able to hear the way people speak there all the time.

(I realize this is a bit off-topic but I'd been wanting to say something about this for a while.)

My freshmen have been reading To Kill a Mockingbird, and I've read portions of the novel to them aloud. I cannot help but slip into a southern drawl as I read. My students are not referring to it as my "Mockingbird voice."

Talking like that comes natural.... I've been told I have a Texas drawl (of course I don't..everyone ELSE has an accent, not me) When I took a business trip to Baltimore, I had a checker in a store just stop and look at me and say "you are not from around here, are you?"....

Now, TYPING things the way I sound is a totally different thing... (thang?) I went to school to learn how to read/write/spell, and some of it rubbed off on me. It's actually more difficult to think of how to spell something the way I say it, versus the correct way to spell it, so my default way of typing is the (mostly) semi-correct way.

Personally, I love a Scottish accent....

Wow I didn't see that thread at all. Missed that one somehow. I must point out that people aren't always truthful about their age. We had a girl here once, I haven't seen her in a while,that said she was 16. She was somewhat rude to the adults but some of the adults came down on her so hard. I stood up for her but also told her she needed to be more careful of how she was expressing herself. Some adults followed her thread to thread and I still stood up for her and took a lot of heat for it. Right is right and I do my level best not to lose it. But there are times when I go straight to the mods and they usually take care of the issue pretty quick.

God is watching and listening and reading what we do and say to one another.....Blond wonders how big a millstone will be placed around her neck?.....Praying that will never happen.... and wishing as Christians we could all strive more to show and spread the love we are told to share with each other....

I think we Christians forget we are on the same side and fight with each other rather than asking God to get behind us and help us fight off the devil and his evil angels like we should be doing and lifting each other up with love and encouragement... Instead we have the fine example of what not to do in the Bible Discussion Forum.... pick most any thread and read....in just a short while you will see the fight break out....sad really sad and I have seen several people being chased away to never return....just really sad.... Millstone anyone?

I highly recommend the "ignore" feature. If the person keeps on spewing stuff at you after trying to get them to stop...just "shake the dust of your feet" and leave them in the Lord's hands. Bless them and then let them go. They may still attack you but everyone will see what kind of a "spirit" is really driving them. Let the Lord be our guard but it's our job to guard our own heart.

There is a whole thread about dealing with spiritual dingbats and self-appointed heretic hunters that persist in their antics.

Actually, I quoted the TWO people who were arguing with each other and bringing up past wrongs and I reminded BOTH of them that the bible tells us not to hold grudges.

However, if you find grudge-holding to be in keeping with your Christian philosophies, by all means, proceed.
