I was doing a deep dive into the name God gave Moses in Exodus 3 and learned something exciting that I’d never heard taught before but it’s blessed me so much! There’s an ancient form of Hebrew called Paleo Hebrew that used pictographs. And the name God gave to Moses, YHWH, when translated using Paleo Hebrew says “Behold the hand, behold the nail”! How awesome and amazing is that?! Jesus and our salvation from sin is IN the name of God! In John’s gospel Jesus appears to Timothy who doubted His resurrection. John 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
He’s saying “Behold the hand! Behold the nail!” This just really blessed me and reminded me that our God doesn’t play catch up. He has everything in His hands and He assured us a Redeemer in His Son! This has also encouraged me to never stop studying the scriptures. God reveals Himself to us through it!

That is so amazing that it sounds like a scam so I will try to verify it. What is your source for this information? Thanks. I seem to recall that the meaning is unclear but might be related to “I AM”.

There are many sources I used during my study and most are pretty easy to find online but here is one I really found useful: https://www.paleohebrewdictionary.org/alphabet/
For translating YHWH you’re looking for the 5th 6th and 10th letter of the alphabet. I hope this helps! I certainly would never want to scam anyone especially concerning the things of God. I only sought to share a blessing!

Read some of the negative reviews on books by Jeff Benner on Amazon that cover this subject. I don't know if he started it, but he was the main, or only, one pushing this years ago. I was interested in it until I read a review by a professional linguist who literally eviscerated his theory. It's got "making merchandise of God's people" written all over it

I’d encourage you to research it yourself and not shut something down based on a review. I never even came across that guys name during my study of the subject. People are bound to disagree especially when it comes to translation and people are bound to try a make a buck off things like this but don’t let them rob you of the truth hidden in Gods Word! As Jesus told Thomas after showing His nail pierced hands, “ don’t be unbelieving, but believing!”

And as Paul instructed believers: Test all things, which is what we all need to do regarding this novel news.

I did research it and determined there's too much uncertainty in it to make it a profitable endeavor. In other words, anyone can weave an interesting story, but what anchors in reality does it have?. My conclusion was that much of this is simply inventions of men's minds

Correct! Which is why I gave an example of one of my sources and the info. And I also encouraged researching for yourselves rather than simply going of a review

Ok well I certainly didn’t post this to make a debate of or start divisions. I was simply blessed by something the Lord showed me in scripture and wanted to share it. Be blessed 🙏

What impressed me about the review is that it was by a professional linguist of ancient languages, who stated that the author had absolutely no idea what he was talking regarding claims he was making about how ancient languages work. The author of the book under review is/was an engineer with no training in linguistics; so he's an amateur.

And it adds up to 26 which is another interesting study that you'll find is in agreement with the words, as there are absolutely no coincidences in Hebrew, it's purposefully designed to add up perfectly. For example, Ahavah is the Hebrew for "love" and it adds up to 13 and if you add a reciprocated love, you have 26. Another interesting find is the word for "to be" is hayah spelled heh-vav-heh, (the same as YHVH without the Y). If you query "Hebrew word for to be," (I couldn't copy to paste it), I'll type what the engine retrieved but I don't have any Hebrew keys
One source is Bible Hub's Strong's Hebrew 1961 (n'n) hayah - to be, become, come to pass, exist, happen
and the other source is hermeneutics, stackexchange that says,
Hebrew does not have a word for the present tense 'to be' (n'n) there is no word for 'am' or 'is' or 'are.' "I am" is understood but linguistically impossible.

In Hebrew, you can't say "I am" without saying the Name of God! (my conclusion):D

!!! This generates even more thoughts of either properly reflecting the image of God or defaming and perverting it whenever anyone makes an "I am" statement. :coffee:

That is my understanding also.

Fun to do deep dives I suppose, however, all one has to do is read the first few verses of Genesis and the Gospel of John to find Jesus is God the Son. As well, several times, Jesus Himself declares the same...........

If you have seen me, you have seen the Father

I and the Father are one

Before Abraham was, I Am

(and more) Still, enjoy your deep dive :)
