Isaiah 3 -- Everyone gets to choose their own judgment
Isaiah 3:1 For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water. 2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, 3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. 4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
There is a beautiful pattern here. In 70 AD the church age began when this happened to Jerusalem and Judah. Paul told us this was to provoke them to jealousy so that some might repent and be saved. But this will also happen at the end of the church age, that is when the rapture takes place. So the church age begins and ends with this happening to the Jews. The 69th week for the Jews ended with the crucifixion of Jesus and the pouring out of the spirit on the church. The Jews were given 40 years to repent or else to be scattered in the wilderness. When they came out of Egypt they embraced the evil report from the ten spies and when Jesus was ministering they embraced the evil report of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Those people thought they were the great men, the leaders, and God took them away. Ultimately it was their children that entered the good land.
5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
As you have done it will be done to you. This is the way they behaved towards Jesus, and during the church age this is the way they behave toward evangelical Christians. So then, during the tribulation with what measure they have measured it will be measured to them again.
6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
Why do you think the choices for president in 2024 were Trump and Harris. No one is in a position to heal this situation, anyone with some common sense understands the US is headed for bankruptcy and ruin. As bad as it is this is nothing compared to what it will be like after the rapture.
8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
Once again, this happened in 70 AD, it will happen to the world after the rapture, and the 70th week concludes with Armageddon, the world being judged. Peter says that "judgment must begin with the house of God". 70 AD it began with Jerusalem, but that was a warning to the Christians and to the nations.
9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
This will be the situation at the time of this judgment. You will see all kinds of sexual perversion preaching from the pulpit.
10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
We are all judged with the same judgment, as you have done it will be done unto you.
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God was the anointed one chosen by God to rule the people. They rejected Him, they chose for themselves women and children. They chose their own judgment.
