I decided to quit drinking alcohol on June 22nd. I felt the call from Jesus. About once or twice a month we would indulge in a few drinks. Never was there an issue of drinking too much. And about 2 weeks ago, my wife quit. Yeah!!! Praise the Lord!!!

Fair enough. Follow what the Lord is saying to you personally. Please don't make it a law for everyone else. The Bible does forbid drinking wine as long as its in moderation. I stopped drinking wine a while ago. I just lost interest. Same with coffee. I drink tea now. A 94 year old friend still has a cappuccino every now and again. It's obviously not a health risk!

The older I get the less I drink. I had a glass of watered down wine at a BBQ yesterday evening. Previous to that I don't remember when I last had any alcohol. It was watered down because the host didn't have the white wine in the cooler for some reason... I should probably drink a little more than I do, but I prefer diet pepsi.

I was at the dog track in 1992 drinking a beer when I decided to totally abstain from alcohol. Didn't want to end up like my older brother who has been an alcoholic since his late teens. Also, it is best to avoid DUI's too. Never had one and don't intend too. Yeah, absolutely, praise the Lord.

My wife prefers Pepsi Zero Sugar. Probably the same thing. I don't drink much pop myself but prefer pop that's not diet.

The difference between Pepsi zero sugar and diet is they use a different sweetener. I prefer the diet. If only coke is available, then I prefer coke zero.

Yeah, some of the sweeteners are toxic to me, like aspartame. Ugh. Greatly prefer stevia...

But congrats to all who have given up alcohol. I cannot remember the
last time I drank, but it would have been well over fifteen years ago.

Some of you know I was not a casual drinker... and that God relieved me of the desire to use
mind and mood altering substances when I cried out to Him for help with another issue...
