Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 5

[SUP]20 [/SUP]Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes,
and prudent in their own sight!

John 3
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be bornagain, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ...

So are we or can we today right now be born again a gift from God? Is this truth after the cross, did Pentecopst happen and others as well receive the Holy Spirit of God?

[h=3]Romans 6:1-4
[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [SUP]2 [/SUP]God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [SUP]4 [/SUP]Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life

Isaiah 29

[SUP]17 [/SUP]Is it not yet a very little while,
and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book,
and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity,
and out of darkness.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord,
and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For the terrible one is brought to nought,
and the scorner is consumed,
and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
[SUP]21 [/SUP]that make a man an offender for a word,
and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate,
and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

Isaiah 55

[SUP]8 [/SUP]For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven,
and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth,
and maketh it bring forth and bud,
that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

[h=3]Romans 3:1-6
[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

3 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? [SUP]2 [/SUP]Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? [SUP]4 [/SUP]God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. [SUP]5 [/SUP]But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) [SUP]6 [/SUP]God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Here is the verse that is on my mind right now, since I just quoted it in another thread:

[17] "Yet your people say, `The way of the Lord is not just'; when it is their own way that is not just.
[18] When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall die for it.
[19] And when the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does what is lawful and right, he shall live by it.
[20] Yet you say, `The way of the Lord is not just.' O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways." Ezekiel 33:17-20 RSV

I believe it is telling us that if we live a sinful life and repent, we will find ourselves forgiven, but if we live a righteous life and then sin, we will be disciplined for that sin (for our own good, of course).

2Co 9:5

(5) So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance for the gift you have promised, so that it may be ready as a willing gift, not as an exaction.

And coupling it with:

2Co 9:7

(7) Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

[h=3]Hebrews 7[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

7 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; [SUP]2 [/SUP]to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; [SUP]3 [/SUP]without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: [SUP]6 [/SUP]but he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. [SUP]7 [/SUP]And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. [SUP]8 [/SUP]And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. [SUP]9 [/SUP]And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? [SUP]12 [/SUP]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, [SUP]16 [/SUP]who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. [SUP]18 [/SUP]For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: [SUP]21 [/SUP](for those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) [SUP]22 [/SUP]by so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. [SUP]23 [/SUP]And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: [SUP]24 [/SUP]but this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. [SUP]25 [/SUP]Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; [SUP]27 [/SUP]who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. [SUP]28 [/SUP]For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

The first Testament had to give to get
The second Testament, Christ we give because we got already
The fine line between old and new
The art of freely giving, since we have gotten life by Christ

Behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Matthew 5:3-10

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Romans 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Only left us with a choice to believe or not, so do we? I do, and am at rest, yet that ugly old flesh does not like it and tries to war, so I seek to stay hidden in the Spirit of God
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

2 Timothy 2:23-26

23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance so that they may know the truth,
26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will

Ephesians 5:2 and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
