Not sure if I showed you this before (see bottom of this post) but consider wearing the "heretic" badge proudly around here considering some of the sources.

Actually, we're all heretics and some of us are just trying to convince others here about choosing.
yeah it’s common here if you disagree with someone they’ll begin with the insults …the your a heretic ….the you deny scripture ….it’s meaningless nonsense really

But you didn't answer my question and I didn't see the passage to which you are referring.

Did God choose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to believe in Him or to make a nation?
Do you see the two concepts as being mutually exclusive to each other?

Their posts are usually out of context and/or they use the interpretive method of eisegesis to try to make their case.
Yeah ….they never just let it say what it says ……

“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

For God does not show favoritism.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:5-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

But “ they “ just have to explain why that’s not true

Which would make man's will the effective cause of his own salvation. Man can just walk out of prison any time he desires. Paul got 1Cor 1:30 all wrong, didn't he!? That text should read, "By you're freewill choice you are in Christ Jesus".
Incorrect.
Incorrect.
No, but you may have.
No, I think it should remain as it is, and that we should work together to understand it correctly.

The gospel is foolishness to the natural man, since he can neither accept nor comprehend the spiritual things of God. It is impossible for his incurably wicked heart to grow the seed of God’s Word into the good fruit of faith while he is captive to the will of the devil. Along with the rest of the world who does not know God, he is blinded to the truth and under the power and influence of Satan, rendered incapable of submitting to or obeying God, with Whom he is inherently hostile toward in his mind, for he craves what is contrary to the Spirit. He suppresses the truth in unrighteousness, refusing to come into the light because he is a slave to sin, a lover of darkness, defined as darkness itself, and his deeds are evil.

Flesh serves the law of sin, for the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! Because everyone born of God overcomes the world. In the mixed up unBiblical theology, of the free will crowd , man overcomes the world with his wicked heart and is then born again.

Humor? I wasn't sure you were able to laugh. What would your buddy TULIP say?
Not an attempt at humor. Just a simple question.
I will ask the question again.

Is Magenta's question on post # 3253 fair and honest?

Am I truly a heretic for not answering it as written?

See my original post that started this convo lol. You are predictable as the sun rise.
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Immaturity , carnality ect

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death. Now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the outcome is eternal life. 2 Corinthians 3 verse 17; Galatians 5 verse 1; Romans 8 verse 2; from Romans 6 verse 22

Man is born in transgression and sin (Psalm 51 verse 5, 58 verse 3), dead in transgressions (Ephesians 2 verse 5), his heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure (Jeremiah 17 verse 9), held captive by a love for sin (John 3 verse 19; John 8 verse 34), so that he will not seek God (Romans 3 verses 10-11), because he loves the darkness (John 3 verse 19), and does not understand the things of God (1 Corinthians 2 verse 14), nor can he change himself (Jeremiah 13 verse 23). He suppresses the truth of God in unrighteousness (Romans 1 verse 18) and continues to willfully live in sin because he is totally depraved; this sinful lifestyle seems right to men (Proverbs 14 verse 12); they reject the gospel of Christ as foolishness (1 Corinthians 1 verse 18), and their mind is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. (Romans 8 verse 7).

Do you see the two concepts as being mutually exclusive to each other?
I don't assume it means something it doesn't say or imply. The purpose of God choosing Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was to form a particular nation. Abraham is the father of many nations but he wasn't chosen to create any of those nations.

You still don't get it.

We are in Christ because God has determined He will save believers. We have determined we will believe. Not rocket science, real simple stuff. :)
Sure. Your incurably wicked heart grew something good despite Jesus saying it was impossible. We get it. Really!
