"What must I do to be saved", what did Jesus mean?

Still a weak argument. Let's agree for a second that Jesus only came for the Jews. How would anything He said change for a gentile, especially for a gentile who converts to a Jew? The message of Jesus doesn't change with Paul. If you were a gentile in that day, how would you be saved? Would you...

"What must I do to be saved", what did Jesus mean?

Because Jesus said, "follow me", not "follow Paul". If you know what Jesus says, then you will know Paul is only supporting what Jesus said in his own way, not adding to it. Regardless, that's an odd thing to say, as though Paul said something different to Jesus?

"What must I do to be saved", what did Jesus mean?

Never heard of that til now, and after researching it, no that's not what I lean towards.

"What must I do to be saved", what did Jesus mean?

I think you keep missing that Jesus gave multiple different answers, to the same people, within the same generation. Jesus talked about faith, obedience, baptism of Holy Spirit and water, keeping the commandments, etc. But when asked specifically, "how do I get saved", the answer was more...

"What must I do to be saved", what did Jesus mean?

Within the same generation, probably 2-3 years, Jesus gave different answers to the same question, to the same people. Saying, "Jesus didn't give them the full answer", is a pretty weak argument.

Those were in the same time period.

"What must I do to be saved", what did Jesus mean?

When the rich man came to Jesus and asked, "what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" Why was the answer to salvation: - Keep the commandments - Follow Jesus Also, when Jesus visited Zacchaeus and he repented. Jesus said, "today salvation has come to this house". Why was the answer...

    Memory loss, saved or not

When answering difficult questions, I like to exaggerate them for a broader perspective. If someone is a true Christian, loses their memory completely, then becomes a Satanist. I could imagine they would lose their salvation. God won't save half of their spirit. I can imagine God making...

    Memory loss, saved or not

I don't ask questions I know the answer to.

    Memory loss, saved or not

Those are your guidelines for a new member, not mine and many others. You can't answer my question, and you don't like that your answer isn't taken as sufficient. If I didn't have an answer, or someone refused to accept my answer, I wouldn't hang around trying to prove MY point with weak...

    Memory loss, saved or not

I don't think you really understand the depth of the question.

    Memory loss, saved or not

It's a hypothetical because I don't have a personal experience with one. But these events do happen every day. So intrinsically it's not a fictional circumstance.

    Memory loss, saved or not

In other words you don't have an answer. Move along.

    Memory loss, saved or not

Not convincing to me. She could remember to eat, to shower, speak, language, etc. Remembering faith falls in that category, generally things learned in childhood remain, and as you mentioned, she was bringing up religious memories from her childhood. You singing a Christian song could've been a...

    Memory loss, saved or not

Like I said, these events do happen. If you don't have an answer, move along.

    Memory loss, saved or not

Hypothetical doesn't always mean fiction. Hypothetical's are given because they are possible. The hypothetical's I gave do happen, even if I don't know them personally. From my experience, people get upset with hypothetical's when they don't have an answer and it puts tension on their faith.

    Memory loss, saved or not

Neither. Do you have an answer or can you admit you don't know, because the question goes against the grain in Christianity.

Was Jesus planning to return within a generation?

Then why in the verse right before Jesus says, "some standing shall not taste death...", does it say, "For the Son of Man will come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done." This means when the Son of Man comes, there will be...

    Memory loss, saved or not

What about those with multiple personality disorder? I've heard occasions where one part of someones personality is Christian, and their other personality is atheist.

    Memory loss, saved or not

There are some who lose all memory with a full personality change. This includes some who were once nice loving people, turned to anger filled psycho's. Heart in biblical terms is referring to the intentional mind, which is affected in some accidents.
