My Prayer Request.

Hi Everyone!
I'm Jessie and I'm new here. I really need some prayer. Lately I've been involving myself in very un-godly activites, such as partying and many forms of sexual immorality. I used to be on fire for god. I worked with the children at my church, and I wasn't afraid to talk to people about my faith. But now my whole life has changed. I don't go to church, and I can't seem to tell people about my faith anymore. I feel like I've really pushed god out of my life. I'm sixteen, and I was talking to one of my cousins about all this and she said it was "normal" for a christian teen to act like this at my age.But I really don't think it is.So I guess, I really just need some prayer for my life.

Hey Jessie, Im Kendall. I'm a teen as well.
Well I'm know motivational speaker but I'll be praying.
I feel for teens who go through this and its not easy but u can make it through.
Just stay close to God by praying every single day and read your bible.
Just talk to Him, he's always there and he'll listen.

The fact you realize what you have been doing is wrong shows you know in your heart that you are God's child and your remorse shows where your loyalties lie. It's a blessing to see the fire for God in someone so young, even if it's buried for a while. It's still there. Many of us have been there. Stand tall and let your faith show. You owe it to your amazing self.

Hi Jessie,

I am also new to CC and I think is it absolutely amazing the amount of support we have from members on this site. I am the mother of 4, my oldest is 15 years of age so I know exactly the pressures teens go through on a daily basis. Stay close to the Lord, make sure you go to church, if possible and available to you attend teen ministries, read your bible and continue to pray to our Heavenly Father.

In the meantime, I will pray for you as well...

All d responses to our prayer request seem to av said it all.
I think one of the important way out as a teen is to be consistently in association with fellow xtian youth in the church, community, school and everywhere.
Sometimes, tis actually difficult to see xtian youth stand up 2 declare their faith outside d church. If u av such problems then i'll encourage u 2 start a little group of xtian teens in ur area. Dont think u cannot do it. U'll be amazed @ wat u can do "thru Him who strengthens u".
Such initiative will keep u focused and help u 2 fulfill d calling ur as well as win souls for His kingdom.
On the whole, i'll encourage 2 neva give up even if u fall...it is d trick of d devil 2 get peeople deeper & deeper into sin. If u fall into sin, repent, ask 4 God's forgiveness and move on...(Go & sin no more!)

hey jess read wat u said.....for a christian to walk in the spirit means to focus and give priority to prayer,the word, and to fasting in its simplest sense..what the bible says is.."walk in the spirit so that you will not fullfill the desires of your flesh" sexual stuff or anything along those lines falls within the flesh..this is kindda deep topic.. so i can only guide u here...i went through wat u were going through years ago...what got me out of it was 1st meditating on the word of God in lines of sexual immorality(1 Cor 6:12-18,) ..i did it day and night (Psalm 1,Joshua-"this book of law shall not depart from thy mouth but thou shalt meditate on it day and night") also in the book of peter it talks about "do not conform to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind"...when jesus christ was tempted he casted out satan through the already written word what had been spoken 100 of years before his coming why? cus the word of God is the ultimate power n authority for the beliver n temptaion cannot stand it...there is sooooo much to say....but the only way u can get it out is to transorm ur mind through the Word of God ..if u can mail me up or somthing at christianchat i could talk abt it more n explain in detail what u gotta do..it's really simple no big deal with God nothing impossible yeah?u can walk in the fire u had each and everyday in ur life if u know n follow the guidance which the Word Give u..I've been where u've been in life ...so dont worry n dont' think too much...sry i havent put references to sum sscriptures(google 'em) i've meditated on them for days n weeks n they are engraved in ma heart so when ever the temptaion comes along the Holy spirit reminds me of that scripture so can cast down any thought which is against the word of God(2 Cor 10:5)..
