It just seems as if so many Christians do not have a full understanding of these words from Jesus........sadly.

Ephesians 5:2 and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
It seems to me that no one can love past what they believe they are loved? or forgive past what they believe they are forgiven of or not?
I found this true with me, is it true with any of you all? So is there a before and after the cross? one side we need forgiven and loved thereby, and can't be perfect?
