THAT'S IT I'VE DONE HAD IT AND I'M GONNA SPEAK MY MIND!!
A few small points. If I meet in a home group, the people who I share with are 8 or so. Week in week out we get to know each other and the context in which we are sharing. If I share something I really care about, I am pretty sure what the reaction will be.

Now here on a forum, anyone can answer from about 300 people who vary from all shades of doctrine, experience, age, background. So anything contraversial, I am going to get blasted. It is the nature of the beast.

It is like me going to the front of church and shouting it out to everyone else. And it is not an agreed church it is the weired and wonderful from christians are possessed to take these two pages of the bible and ignore the rest.

So if you come here without a bullet proof jacket, you will not survive long. Some decide to burn people they decide are enemies, and will write pages of nothing about how upset they are about invented stuff.

Funnily whatever opinion you have someone will feel they can put you right, to learn how to care and love.

By the way I only try and follow Jesus, if the Lord has gifted me, it is in the doing it is shown not by me claiming it.

You're a great guy. Everyone likes you.

I know what you are saying. It is repulsive to see a child's spirit broken.
No, not everyone. And I've certainly had my moments of anger with some members here (some who are no longer here). But the BDF sometimes resembles a war-zone and you have to discern whether you're fighting trolls or just strongly disagreeing with someone. Thank you for your post, brother.

Let me begin by apologizing to those that I have offended and will probably offend again with this post.
I never intend to offend anyone.
The young lady I offended was not 15 she is 31.
I responded to what I understood her to say.
She said God told her she was a healer. She than said that she and a pastor had prayed for a friend and that friend became pregnant. What I understood her to say was that friend became pregnant as a result of her praying. That she had healed her friend.
At no time did I see here give credit to God. My response was that only God heals, she was not a healer and that she was deceived.
I did not bash her, call her a liar, or in any way try to offend her. I honestly believed she had been deceived.
It is obvious that I did offend her and many others.
Now let me say this----
I believe that many on CC have bought into this modern concept that we must be Politically Correct in everything we do or say. NEVER say anything, do anything, or question anyone if it might offend them.
IN MY OPINION, this politically correct attitude has lead to many people being mislead by false teachers and false understanding of God's word.
I have never been nor can I be politically correct. I see no evidence of any of the Prophets or Apostles being politically correct when seeing or calling out sin or those who misunderstand.
I have become aware that old men like me who will not , can not be politically correct have no place on forums like this.
This will be the last time I offend anyone on CC. I have lots of neighbors I can offend with my politically uncorrect preaching the Gospel.
I pray God bless each and every one of you and look foward to see you when we gather together with our lord.

If you're Jack, you'll face the Wrath of Khan. I mean, Christian. But if you're not Jack (or one of his ilk) you're home safe. What I can't abide is people stomping all over God's Word. Often, a firm hand is needed. Am I too aggressive? Yes, sometimes. Do I need to give some people the benefit of the doubt? Possibly. Do I need to keep learning to not take troll bait? Heck, yes. But I'm learning. But if you're Jack, mark my words. I will find you and I will pray for you.

I disagree totally. ANYONE regardless of whether they're 15 or 90, should be allowed to come here and ask any questions that they have, and discuss the bible, and how it applies to their life. But you're all so anxious to one-up each other, and show off, that eventually the kid feels unwelcome or stupid for even asking for help. I've seen many here make fun of some of the kids here, telling them they're too young to be in this forum, or that they're too stupid to be asking "grown up" questions. I could publicly name and shame the ones who were cruel to Zoii and scared her off, but I won't. I have wayyy more tact than that. But that is what you do. You make people feel stupid for asking questions, or needing info, and you make fun of their comments with snide, snotty remarks and quips like y'all are back in high school or something. If you're christians, prove it because I look at many of you and I don't see it. I've lost respect for MANY of you. :/
Hi blue_ladybug,

Personally, I have not a clue who you are talking about (zoii) so I cannot comment. I am not telling anyone they are to young to be on this forum. However, I would be concerned for the spiritual well being of someone so young getting spiritual advice on an internet forum that includes me and even you!

Let me ask you this question, would you be happy for your child to be getting spiritual wisdom from the internet and more specific BDF? I believe you would not considering your comment above. That was the point I was making. not that they cannot ask questions. They can ask whatever they want to. I also don't think young teenagers are too stupid for questions, I don't know where you get that from.

Your post started off generic then went specifically to 'thats what you do' making it personal. Your comment is quite offensive as you take the moral high ground with comments like ' if you're christian prove it'.

it is different levels of understanding, that have clouded there vision.

manly the way ,different religions , teach,

for example,
if different religions, who believe in the same god. yet some people of different religions, try to name and shame other religions, of being evil or satanic, because of the way, it dose things. so this, has nothing to do with, the belief system that, there is a god. even the muslims believe, there is a god. (and are correct , that there is a god) the christain belief system is the same, yet cant agree on major parts of this belief system (calvin v the pope all them years back in history.) yet even the war between these two, have shaped some form, of what we would call religion, ie the dos and dont of following, or church practice of trying to walk as one body. etc then you have j/witness , also look at a bible (yet dont believe in jesus. to keep it short) and some other that have there idea of the christian bible belief system etc.

yet believe there is a god, yet cant prove, there is a god or what they are saying from the bible, because of a lack of knowing (blindness)or finding the bible proof to back up what they are saying. from the christain bible.

yet they all quote scripture. etc lol

and dodge ,my prayers. etc

Firstly, I used the general "you", not as in YOU personally. My post wasn't even aimed at you at all. In all truth, I wouldn't let my child onto this forum. Not in a million years. I'm not taking any moral high ground with "if you're christian, prove it". Then again I don't bash and insult and name-call and sling insults like many here do. Just because I challenge someone to prove their a christian, when their fruits clearly state otherwise, doesn't make me any better than anyone else, but it DOES give them something to think about regarding their behavior. :) Like I said before, if people here truly are christians, then let your fruits reflect that. And you, phil36, cannot sit here and tell me you don't see the cruel, hateful snide comments and judgments made in here on a daily basis. EVERYONE sees it, but few have the peanuts to speak up about it. So you have absolutely no reason to be offended by my post, because it wasn't even aimed at you at all. :)

3score...I was there for your original post, and didn't find it mean at all. Perhaps a touch abrupt? Nothing to get offended over....but apparently her feelers got hurt...
while perhaps a quiet word of "hey bud, that was a little harsh" would have done the trick, as I'm sure you would have sought her out and apologised/clarified...which I think you did, a few posts later... instead it got blown all out of proportion with lots of yelling and histrionics..
But, perhaps this whole fiasco has served a greater purpose by getting us all to be a little more careful how we respond? Anyway..blessings to you, and the rest of our slightly dysfunctional group..
