Gideon300:

You are grasping at straws. Scripture makes it clear that the Jews, as a people, have been rejected by the Almighty. They, as a people, have a long, sordid history of disobeying Jehovah and destroying prophets sent to them. Jesus Christ, the Son of Jehovah, said the following regarding the Jews as a people:

Matthew 21:42
Jesus said to them
: “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone that the builders rejected, this has become the chief cornerstone. This has come from Jehovah, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Matthew 21:43
This is why I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits.

Matthew 23:1
Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying:

Matthew 23:37
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her—how often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you did not want it.

Matthew 23:38
Look! Your house is abandoned to you.

Matthew 23:39
For I say to you, you will by no means see me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in Jehovah’s name!’”

Notice Matthew 21:43 where Jesus made it clear that the kingdom of Almighty God Jehovah would be taken from the Jews. He didn't say it would be taken only from those who would later show up at his trial and execution. Those events had not even occurred at the time he told the crowd that God's kingdom would be taken from the Jews.

Now, notice Matthew 23:37. When Jesus said "Jerusalem, Jerusalem," he was referring to the entire society of Jews. He made no distinction between who would later show up for his trial and crucifixion and who did not. The decision had already been made by Jehovah to abandon the entire society of Jews BEFORE they had Jesus tried and executed. At Matthew 23:38, Jesus told them "Your house is abandoned to you."

Notice the word "is" at Matthew 23:38. That means at the time Jesus said it, the deed had already been done. So if you want to keep insisting that the Jews are still the chosen people of the Abrahamic God despite what scripture says, go ahead. Nobody's stopping you.

You--along with all those arguing that the Jews, as a group, are still God's chosen people--have been debunked by scripture. They lost that position of being chosen people a long, long time ago.
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
The very people who lied, whip, nailed, spat, beat, humiliated, him were forgiven by Jesus. It's all right there in the gospel.
I Have no idea as to how you arrived to the conclusions you have.
The whole trial and crucifixion was orchestrated by the hand of God. Further ..the old testament prophecy said he would be rejected by his own. All the prophecy point to Jesus.
The rejection was no surprise. For by it we know that the testimony is true. He's the one.
For if it had not happened it would discredit his claim....follow me?
The church is the fulfillment of the old testament not some sort of new religion.
Think of what your saying...if God had propheticly told of the rejection in the old then he set up the jews for failure....is that your God?
You my friend have been dooped by the one that hates and murders.

If Jesus would not accept the woman at Jacob's well as Jewish, what makes you think that Jesus would accept those who claim to be Jewish today?
The woman at the well did not claim to be a Jew. She knew that she was a Samaritan. So what is your point?

Well, some of the most respected Bible scholars reject your assertions. I am amazed that not even actual events unfolding now can change the minds of Israel haters.

Speaking of Israel the word of God says:

for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable (Romans 11:29)

Irrevocable= not able to be changed, reversed, or recovered; final:

In that verse is Paul speaking of a whole nation, or a remnant? Throughout Romans 9-11 Paul explains in detail that only a remnant is ever saved in harmony with the rest of scripture

25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way[e] all Israel will be saved.

yeah the blood is so diluted at this point that biblically no one would qualify as a jew. everyone is worse than a samaritan. 5% jews

The rest of verse 26 you didn't quote disproves the point you are trying to make

Find a map. Look up the land between Egypt and Lebanon. It is Israel. It disappeared for 2,000 years or so. It was restored May 1948. Israel's enemies have been trying to destroy Israel ever since. Israel's survival was miraculous, defeating 5 Arab armies with next to nothing to fight with. They have survived many attacks since. The surrounding nations are miserable hell holes. The current Arabs are descended from the tribes of Esau and the children of Ishmael.

Israel, in spite of Muslim hostility, is a thriving, intelligent, creative and prosperous nation. The hell holes that border Israel are jealous. And that is the real problem. Muslims believe that Ishmael was the rightful recipient of God's covenant. There will never be real peace between Muslim and Jew. Israel may force the Muslim nations to submit, but it will never be willing.

So whatever you claim, the reality on the ground says that you are wrong.

I think his point is clear.

Why are Samaritans not considered Jewish?

It is not hard to figure out.

It is this reason that many correctly ignore these pointless debates.

I believe those who bless Israel will be blessed by God
Yes. The Israel of God - all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. And all those who curse us will be cursed, so beware all of those who preach the replacement heresy, and who would fraudulently swap God's blessings to Jesus, Abraham and all Abraham's spiritual descendants for the adherents of some demonic, Christ-hating, warmongering government cult with borders in the Middle East.

Genesis 12:1 - 3 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

I heard someone refer to the Israel of God (yes very important) as Covenant Israel to differentiate it from modern man made secular construct Israel,

To argue this is still Covenant Israel is like saying Christ Jesus never came, I just do not think they realize how bad that is.

Well said my friend....I was on the same wave length to post what you have. May I also add that judisim along with Christianity will disprove Islam.
Also if the anti Israel people could name us one nation that exists today that defeated Israel. ....where are they now.
Not to mention the return in 1948 and the wars that followed up into the present.
History is a testimony used by God to prove he is and will do what he says.

Ah yes
But He gave different punishments out
for different offenses.

It's all right there in the bible.

Have you read the Bible? Do you just ignore major parts you don't like?
I believe this is one of the
most major parts of the bible.
When Jesus told the Jews:

Matthew 21:43
Therefore say I unto you,

The kingdom of God shall be taken from you,
and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Well I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of grace, of covenants, and the Bible as a whole. I'd say you have the worse problem.
I love correction
so any correction you can give me
as long as you are correct
I will gladly and willfully take it.
