We can agree on that. :)

    Loss of salvation???

I disagree it is "definitely referring to water". They have been told Christ's baptism would be with the Spirit, why would Christ ask them to revert to John's baptism or even continue with it? It makes no sense. A New Covenant was about to come into effect. It's obvious the early...

    Loss of salvation???

I would slightly disagree with you on that inasmuch as they are "fruits of the Spirit". However, I would say many unbelievers have what they think those qualities are from a human perspective. We don't truly understand what those attributes are like until we know God and that knowing is ongoing...

    Loss of salvation???

You have just shown what I said was correct. Physical circumcision was meant to teach the need to put off the sin nature which resides in the flesh. (Rom.7:23) [Col 2:11 KJV] In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the...

    Loss of salvation???

To what end? It has no effect except maybe one of appeasing the emotions.

    Loss of salvation???

Yes I am. The method of baptizing was to be teaching. This is how they would be submerged into the fullness of who God is, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And because it is teaching, it is a command given to those appointed to teach. Matt.28:19-20 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the...

    Loss of salvation???

Did He command baptism in water? Here is some irony for you. Israel was baptized into Moses. The Red Sea (water) never touched them. Noah was baptized into the Ark, the flood (water) never touched him. Go figure hey! :)

    Loss of salvation???

@NightTwister was right about circumcision being a sign of the Old Covenant. If it is a sign of salvation by grace through faith then every male ever born who believed should have been circumcised. Salvation has always been by grace through faith. How that salvation was/is to be worked changed...

    Loss of salvation???

I don't say you can't if you want to, but it is no longer necessary. Unfortunately there are those who insist on it. Christ gave the Church no sacrament but the Lord's Supper and He made it very clear that His baptism would be with the Spirit, not water.

    Loss of salvation???

The Israelites coming to John for baptism had no idea of a New Covenant. They were coming to identify with the coming Messiah he preached, a Messiah of the Old Covenant. It was their rejection that enabled the New Covenant and that New Covenant was to be inaugurated by means of the Holy Spirit...

    Loss of salvation???

It really isn't the public's business whether one is saved or not. It is between God and the individual. If another wants to know one's salvation status then .... Matthew 7:16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

    Loss of salvation???

If that is what you think I think, you are sadly mistaken which, only goes to show you never understood a word I said. Ironically, you did say many times you didn't understand and yet here you are trying to tell me what I think without understanding. So sad. People can read the scriptures I...

    Loss of salvation???

We can agree on that. Come back when you're ready to put some thought into all the other verses you've been shown that prove water baptism is a thing of the past. No such thing, so I don't need what doesn't exist. Have a great day. :)

Rofl. Whole book??!! You've managed to share about the same four verses repeatedly, ignoring every other verse that has been shown you. You want to try remembering He will be judging you by His whole book as well. I've explained those verses from Acts you keep repeating. Nowhere in those verses...

    Loss of salvation???

By grace, that's how. A gift from God and not from our obedience to certain works except the one work necessary in every aspect and moment of our lives. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, John 6:29 Jesus answered and...

    Loss of salvation???

And I keep telling you what the scripture says. Christ gets rid of sin. Those who believe in Him are born again (made spiritually alive by being born of the Spirit) and are baptized with the Spirit into Him where there is no sin and where our sin has been nailed to the Cross. "It is finished"...

Where's the water in any of those verses? Do you honestly think we could all take a bath and be sin free? Those three verses all have one thing in common, the Son. Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? The Church is...
